This collection of large monotypes were printed at the Sam Fox School of Design and Visual Arts at Washington University. They incorporate drawing, painting, woodcut, lithography, etching, and stenciling to create one-of-a-kind works on paper.
My prints are based on my desire to connect with place, heritage, and the present. After years of cross-country travel, I explored my identity as a white American and relationships with home and the natural world. I created nostalgic, symbolist collages-- blending my experiences with dreams and histories. In making these prints, I sought a sense of rootedness and understanding of fragmented cultural memories.
