Originally from Southern California, Kacie Erin Smith earned her BFA in printmaking and drawing from the Sam Fox School of Visual Art and Design at Washington University in St. Louis. Imagery for her colorful monotypes stems from experiences of beauty, connection, and nature, as Smith attempts to depict physical sensations of emotions and places. In addition to making prints at Kala Art Institute in Berkeley, Smith enjoys working with children in school and summer camps, and adventuring on farms, beaches, mountains and desert.
